About me

I am an established full time guitar tutor and professional musician with over 16 years of playing experience and 13 years teaching experience. I have a vast amount of live experience and have played a wide variety of shows from small acoustic nights up to large festivals such as Liverpool Pride this year. I also have extensive experience in musical tuition and specifically guitar tuition. I have taught in many schools and establishments over the years, including the music department at Preston College.

Now I largely work from home; teaching guitar to musicians of all levels and ages on a one to one basis. I teach all modern and contemporary styles, approaches and techniques to an advanced level, including all related music theory. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player, the chances are I can help you out. If for some reason that is not the case, the first lesson is free anyway!

I continually work on my own playing and general musicianship and also regularly attend and occasionally host guitar clinics and masterclass sessions with some of the industries most esteemed players. You can read all about these on my blog.

Finally, I am certified with a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure check.

I am currently a session musician and songwriter with Jes Stretton, an incredibly talented singer/songwriter from Manchester.

We have already played some big shows like opening ILuvLive earlier this year and Liverpool Pride alongside Katy B. This year she has released her debut EP ‘Surrender’ on which I played all guitars and co-wrote a number of the tracks.
