Connor Banks Gig

On Friday 12th April I went to go see my pupil Connor Banks play one of four gigs he was doing as part of the Penwortham live festival. I’ve taught Connor for about a year now and knew that he had done the occasional small gig here and there, but I wasn’t prepared for how confident the performance was going to be from someone of such a young age.

Connor played his way through a sizeable setlist, choosing to simply keep up the  momentum with several tracks from his favourite artist Ed Sheeran. There were several moments of crowd participation which were instigated by Connor who showed an impressive level of showmanship and command of his audience.

All in all it seemed Connor, like everyone else in the room, had a blast and he got a great reaction at the end of the gig. I even got a shout out too!

Well done Connor!

NB: If any other of my student are putting on a gig give me a shout and if my teaching doesn’t get in the way I will try my best to come!
